Last Wednesday I went to hospital for my surgery to fix my right hernia. This went very well and after a short night in hospital, I was allowed back home with the clear directive of “NO RUNNING for 6 weeks”.

Thursday I relaxed and enjoyed the bliss of Endone pain killers at home. By Friday however, I had to get moving, so I did a very slow 8km walk which took me 100 minutes but hey, I am back on my feet and moving.
Since the Doc did not say anything about not walking, I did a short repeat on Saturday for 5km. Pain is bearable and I hope the minimal exercises helps the recovery.
My plan is to put on my runners before Xmas if possible.
